Dr. Anthony Vipin Das

Dr Anthony Vipin Das is an ophthalmologist, innovator, and TED Senior Fellow. As a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Associate Network Director at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, he led the development of eyeSmart EMR, an award-winning Electronic Medical Record system that has recorded over 15 million consultations across the LVPEI network. His work has earned national recognition, including the NABARD Award for Rural Innovation
(2012) and the Best ICT Initiative Award from the Government of Odisha (2014). Named among the Top 35 Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review (2012), he has served as the youngest member of the International Task Force on Emerging Technologies for Teaching and Learning at the International Council of Ophthalmology. Dr Anthony also co-directed the Srujana LVPEI-MITRA Innovation Program with the MIT Media Lab and is a Chevening Fellow from St. Cross College, University of Oxford. He is the Alumni Lead of the Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD) and was part of the 2023 cohort. He is the Chairperson of the Fernandez Innovations Forum (FIF).
