Towards this end, over past 2 decades, Dr. Tapati built 200+ Gartner research IP’s on cloud & AI Infra, 100 of which have become Foundational, and magic quadrants, hype cycles, ITScore maturity model, cool vendors. From 2010, as a senior Director @Gartner Core Research US, she received several Gartner Business Awards, having been rated among Top 20 Analysts globally.
She holds a PhD in language AI, had built industry-first AI expert systems at GEC Marine Glasgow in 1997, and has been an AI-cloud researcher, advisor and practice leader, spanning 3 decades.
2017 onwards, at Wipro, she set up and led HOLMES AI platform practices & ecosystems, filed 3 patents on XAI in a year, earning a Fellowship in the DMTS (Distinguished Member of Technical Staff).
2019 onwards, she led AI-IA practices globally for HFS as Vice President. Then at AISWITCH (US TM), she has been leading AI Practice Research with 5 IPs, for world’s largest cloud co.s and ITSPs, and for global FMCG, Mfg, Telco’s. With AISWITCH as the AI-Cloud practice partner firm for ISG, F&S, DigitalFabric and Third Eye, she has been leading 20+ multi-year ISG IPL research projects for US, and supporting 100+ ITSP and 350+ CXOs.
She started her career as a Graduate Engineer in Technical Services at Tata Motors in 1995. She is a University Gold Medalist in Engineering, and a British Govt sponsored ODASS/ DFID Scholar at University of Strathclyde Glasgow.
