Hari Vadlamani

Hari Vadlamani is originally from Guntur. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he moved to Hyderabad in 1987. He began his career in practice before transitioning into boutique investment banking. Over time, he shifted focus to the power sector first as a consultant, then as a developer and investment manager. He went on to manage India’s first power sector fund.

Following a successful exit from a company he built, Hari turned to wind energy development, exiting again in 2011. He then explored coal mining ventures in Australia, Indonesia, and South Africa before stepping away from business to begin his second innings—as a social entrepreneur.

He founded INDICA and NICE to advance cultural education and entrepreneurship. Over the past decade, both have pioneered work in the field of Indian Knowledge Systems. He is now building a personal platform, CoHari, and working towards establishing India’s first university dedicated to Indian Knowledge Systems and applied cultural skills, based in Hyderabad.
